How long does it last?
Your cosmetic brow tattoo will last as long as it's maintained. Untouched, the ink will last 1-3 years. We recommend an annual touch up to keep your brows fresh and defined.
How much does it cost?
Microblading ranges from $400 - $700 in Toronto. You are paying an artist to create the most flattering and realistic brows possible for your face. It's a skill that takes lots of practice, knowledge, and talent to perfect it.
Our custom price of $500 includes the initial Microblading session, brow design and one month touch up.
Remember you literally won't have to do anything to your brows for a year!
How often do I need a touch-up?
Touch-ups are recommended every eight months to a year, to keep the color fresh and the strokes crisp. Wearing sunscreen and generally taking care of your skin can help maintain your new brows. This will depend greatly on skin type, age, lifestyle, and genetics.
Does it hurt?
There is some discomfort associated with the procedure. A topical anesthetic is used to numb the area. People say the sensation is similar to getting threaded. It's less painful than a tattoo.
What should I do to prepare for my procedure?
Other than making sure your skin is dry and clean, not much. Make sure you are eating well, drinking plenty of water, getting adequate sleep and perhaps go easy on the alcohol. Apply coconut oil or grapeseed oil once a day to ensure the brows stay moisturized.
How long does it take?
The procedure takes roughly about two hours, sometimes more sometimes less. Please allow a solid two hour time window for your appointment. We likely won't need that much time, but this isn't something we want to rush.
Do I need to take a day off work?
No. There's no downtime associated with the treatment. Redness and swelling will dissipate within an hour after. Your brows will appear darker initially, but not so dark that you will be prevented from your activities of daily living.
How long does it take to heal?
Healing time varies from individual to individual. Usually, it takes about a week to ten days for the epithelial crust to form and slough off. Your skin will be considered healed after that happens. Then, the pigment takes some time to settle into the skin. A good month should pass before we consider the process complete.
What's the process like?
Microblading is a two-step treatment, consisting of an initial procedure and then a touch up in 4 to 8 weeks after. After we take your before photo, we shape your eyebrows and decide on the color. Shortly after that, a topical anesthetic will be administered to ensure comfort. Once your numb, the pigment is deposited. During healing, it's normal to experience some pigment loss; this is why we have the touch up in the first place. The process is considered to be completed four weeks after the first touch up.
What can't I do after the procedure?
You are advised to keep the skin clean and dry - that means no swimming, sweating or otherwise getting the area wet; no tanning or prolonged sun exposure; no picking or peeling the tattoo. You can still wash your hair and face and once they're healed up, you treat them as your own.
What kind of pigments are used and is it safe?
All the colors are iron-oxide based and have been FDA approved. A wide range of colors is available. A patch test is always done during the consultation to determine any possible allergic reactions. We haven't had any allergic reactions but it's better to be safe! This is a sterile, clean environment and all tools and equipment are one-time use only.
What if I don't like it?
There are several things we can do. Your eyebrows can be modified to a point. A good technician will work with you until you are satisfied with your results. We will work together throughout the process to make sure you are comfortable with the colour, shape and desired thickness of your new brows. We want you to feel happy and confident.
How do I make an appointment?
|We require a $100 deposit to reserve your date and time.
***Please note your appointment isn't booked and confirmed without a deposit***
Scheduling a touch-up appointment?
Please make sure you schedule your touch-up appointment as soon as possible. Your touch-up must take place within 7 weeks of your first appointment to be included in the original price. Why? Because Microblading is a two-step process and it's considered complete after your touch-up session. Microblading will fade considerably faster if not touched-up.
